DeXM/OverOvermorgen (Deus ex Machina…)

DeXM/OverOvermorgen (Deus ex Machina…) is een manifestatie over kunst en duurzaamheid in het kader van het Duurzaamheidsjaar 2003 van de Radboud Universiteit Nijmegen. De manifestatie werd georganiseerd door het Universitair Centrum voor Milieuwetenschappen en Duurzame Ontwikkeling in samenwerking met beeldend kunstenaar Niek Verschoor.
De sculpturen van DeXM/Mobiele Bomen vormden een onderdeel van deze manifestatie. Op de campus van de universiteit en in de stad Nijmegen werden bomen gemobiliseerd om als strijdwagens in opstand te komen tegen het verdwijnen van bossen en de onverschilligheid hierover in de maatschappij: Fear not, till Birnam Wood Do come to Dunsiname. DeXM/OverOvermorgen (Deus ex Machina…) is a manifestation on art and sustainability in the context of the 2003 Sustainability Year of Radboud University Nijmegen. The event was organized by the University Center for Environmental Sciences and Sustainable Development in collaboration with visual artist Niek Verschoor.
The sculptures of DeXM/Mobile Trees formed part of this manifestation. On the campus of the university and in the city of Nijmegen trees were mobilized to revolt against the disappearance of forests and the indifference about this in society: Fear not, till Birnam Wood Do come to Dunsiname.
